Renewal Procedure

Certificates are valid for a two year period starting in the month certification is approved. Regardless of the date a certificate is issued, the expiry date will always be on the 15th of that same month.

As per the Waterworks and Sewage Works Regulations, an on-going education requirement was added to the renewal process. This regulation states that an Operator applying for renewal of a certificate must earn 1.0 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) prior to approval.

Before your certificate expiry date you will receive a renewal notice and application.  Complete the application and include copies of your CEU course certificates and the $150.00 payable by cheque to the OCB or as a credit card payment; Credit Card Authorization Form.

Your renewal application must be received at the office by the meeting submission deadline to ensure it will be reviewed at the meeting.

If you would like to see a list of courses that have been approved to use for renewal, see the document - CEU Accepted Courses/Workshops.  If you would like the Board to evaluate a course or workshop not listed, you can forward a Request for CEU Rating to the office.

If you have questions about renewing a certificate, refer to the FAQ section or contact the office.
