Renewal Process
Saskatchewan Water and Wastewater Operator certificates are to be renewed every two years to meet the certification standards as regulated by the Water Security Agency (WSA). To renew a certificate an Operator needs to:
1) Obtain no less than 1.0 Continuing Education Units (CEU) during the two year renewal period. Refer to the CEU Accepted Courses & Workshops document for a complete listing of accepted courses and workshops. Refer to The Saskatchewan Water and Wastewater Works Operator Certification Standards, 2016 or The Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Program Guide for further information.
2) Complete and submit the Renewal Application to the SaskOCB, via email at info@saskocb.ca, fax – 306-789-3429 or mail to Operator Certification Board – P.O. Box 32089 Regina, SK S4N 7L2.
Renewal documents and payments CANNOT be dropped off.
3) Include copies of certificates or transcripts of completed Continuing Education courses or workshops and payment with the completed Renewal Application Form. Payment may be made by credit card or by cheque; payable to the SaskOCB.
The Renewal Application, copies of the certificates and payment must be received at the SaskOCB office by the meeting deadline, as noted on the SaskOCB website, to ensure it will be reviewed by the Board at the next meeting.
Note: Certificates are issued as the 15th of the month of approval and will expire on the 15th of that month, regardless of the date of application or upgrade. All certificates will retain the original month of issue and date and this date may not be altered.
